Scarborough Alliance and IBEW plan overview as a way of background, Scarborough Alliance offers the IBEW Local Unions Savings and Security Plan to IBEW members. This is a qualified retirement plan (not an IRA), that accepts Verizon Pension lump sum and Fidelity 401(k) rollovers, or other qualified money you may have in your name, to invest, save and distribute during your retirement years. Scarborough Alliance has been a partner with the IBEW and other local Unions since 1970. Scarborough acts in a fiduciary capacity for the IBEW Local Unions Savings and Security Plan or referred to as the IBEW plan.Only IBEW members from qualified IBEW locals are eligible to invest in the IBEW plan during their working years and at retirement.The IBEW plan differs from other financial companies: This is a 401(k)-plan overseen by a fiduciary committee.The fiduciary committee oversees the plan to ensure that all fees and investment offered within the IBEW plan remain in all members’ best interests.
